1 Kings 4&5; 2 Chronicles 2: Psalm 101; 2 Thessalonians 3

2 Thessalonians 3 Request for Prayer 1 Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. 2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. 3But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. 4We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. 5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.

Lesa Newberry asks for our prayers: I just wanted to ask for prayers this week as a couple of family member are undergoing major surgery. My Grandma Bish, which is my mom’s mom (the one that mainly raised me) is having a hip replacement on Tuesday. She is 83ish and has not been in the best of health. On Wednesday mine and Kim’s aunt Kay is having a bi-lateral mastectomy. She has had breast cancer for several years now and has undergone chemo and different treatments. They wanted to take her breast a few years ago but she did not let them so now they are taking both. She has cancer spreading and I fear that this is going to be very hard on her. This is one of my aunts that would visit with me every day when my dad was in the hospital dying. So even though I am not relationally close to her now she means a lot to me. Kim is much closer to her so we would just ask that if you think about it too keep them in your prayers this week.
Thanks

Prayers for summer interns, those that we have coming.
